Help Us Fund This Great Resource of Dialogue On Race... Buy The Dave Myers Interviews/Engagements on DVD or VHS (Video Tape) or Schedule a Dave Myers Public Engagement Today!!! The birth of DiscussRace.com came from a sincere dialogue between a man whose very story is a testament of America's brutal racist past, and another man whose path crossed the former during his quest to get his son involved in the beautiful game of Tennis. Dave, a tennis coach/USTA Official, and Pete, an engineer and entrepreneur met and began their conversation on Race after Pete asked him of his racial background due to his apparently mixed features, upon which Pete discovered that Dave came from an interracial relationship (Caucasian mother and African-American father to be exact.) Nevertheless, it wasn't an ordinary interracial relationship. In fact, it was such an unbelievably shocking and bizarre story, that it had already been broadcast on television, and merited that the two men meet to discuss Dave's story, which is now known as The Dave Myers Story. Our goal is to use the "Dave Myers Story", along with great readers and articles to fund and promote positive dialogue on Race for the betterment of our world via as many influential channels as possible. We believe that knowledge brings understanding, which begets wisdom, and every understanding human-being is better equipped and prepared to tackle what has now been called "the Race myth". A better dialogue on Race is not only better for our generation, but also for future generations as the face of our future leaders continue to become increasingly more diverse. |
